Manchester Utd Kit (Finally)

After many leaks, the kit is available to buy (well July 15). They have dropped the American company, AIG, in favor of a new sponsor, AON.

It’s not a bad looking shirt at all. They wanted to go for that classic early 1970’s look. I am not usually a fan of collars, but I do like this shirt.

Fulham Home Kit

After recently announcing a new supplier (Kappa) and shirt sponsor (FxPro), the home shirt has finally been unveiled.

Very disappointing. The shirt sponsor is not centered at all, looks very plain. The kits have a nice simplicity to them (or used to), these do not look good at all. Big downgrade.

Burrda Strikes Again

Burrda is trying to make their mark in England. They have now become the official kit supplier to Leicester City.

“Leicester City have signed a highly lucrative three-year kit deal with Swiss International Sportswear Manufacturer BURRDA to supply home and away kits, together with an exclusive range of official training wear for the first team squad, the Youth Academy and for supporters.

The kit deal is the biggest in Leicester City’s history.

The contract with Leicester City is BURRDA’s third UK football deal of the summer who already boast an impressive portfolio of international sports clubs in Europe and in the Middle East, providing kits for the Belgium, Kuwait and Qatar national teams.

The Club have confirmed that the fundamental design of the home kit will remain the same as last season, albeit with the already planned change of badge, to move away from the special 125 Anniversary badge used last season and now with a change of brand on the front of the shirt.

City also confirmed they were ‘close’ to securing a new shirt sponsor for 2010-11.”

Kit looks okay. Nice and simple, don’t like the collars though.

Hull City Kits

After two seasons in top flight, Hull City sees themselves back in the Championship. They now are supplied by Adidas, not Umbro.

Personally, I like last year’s kits a lot better. The aways are all white, which I typically don’t prefer. I like to see color in the away kits, and they had some decent light blue tops last year.

Burnley: New Shirt, New Sponsor, New League

Burnley enjoyed the Premier League last season. They were fun to watch (sometimes), even defeated Manchester United once. Unfortunately their Premier League status was short lived and were relegated after one season.

Along with switching divisions, Burnley also switched their supplier from Errea to Puma as well as signed with a new shirt sponsor, FUN88 (looks like an Asian betting site). They were sponsored by Cooke Oil & Fuel last season. I think the kits are a little downgrade from last year. Don’t see the necessity for those random white trimmings in the front of the jersey.

This year’s set of kits are a downgrade from last years.

This year’s home kit is solid red, where as last year had red/white strips.

The away is all white this year, the opposite of black shirts last year. Also, it looks like a polo (which I don’t like at all on football kits).

So yesterday I mentioned West Brom finally got a shirt sponsor (old news)… Today unveiled the kits. The home is not bad (I don’t like collars much) and the away is not bad at all either. For me (and many others I’m sure), the sponsor ruins the shirt for me. I’m all for a shirt sponsor, but this particular logo doesn’t look well at all…
